The compatibility database

117 records with the numbers that decide whether two living things can share a system: temperature, pH, hardness, light, humidity, adult size, and known conflicts. Every parameter a guide states comes from here. Free to browse, forever.

How the compatibility read works

Two aquatic species can share water when their temperature, pH, and hardness ranges overlap. A betta wants 78 to 82 F; a white cloud minnow wants 60 to 72 F. Those ranges do not meet, so they do not belong in the same tank, whatever a store shelf suggests. The database stores each range, and the build planner checks the overlaps for you.

For land animals the same logic runs on temperature and humidity. A crested gecko tops out around 80 F; a dart frog wants humidity above 80 percent. Match the animal to the enclosure you can actually hold, not the other way around.
